The foredeck was removed and the condition of the supports checked. A new plywood deck was manufactured  and fitted after which the rubbing strakes were reattached.

Firefly Restoration

This firefly was in need of some tender loving care

A replacement transom was made and fitted

A new thwart was also  fabricated and installed.

The varnishwork was removed. The hull was carefully prepared, which included a heavy sanding process.  The wood was then treated inside and out with a number of coats of the varnish. 

She is now restored and looking  as pretty as in the pictures above with the happy owner.
