Mike Andrews

HAINES BOATYARD

His most recent appointments were as the General Manager of a full service yacht repair facility in the Caribbean for six years, until joining the Boat Building Academy in Dorset as Senior Instructor.

Mike is also a qualified marine surveyor and a full member of the International Institute of Marine Surveying, where he also teaches practical wooden boat surveying to degree students.

By leading the team at Haines Boatyard, Mike says he will have “fulfilled a long held ambition in returning to his home waters and  becoming part of one of the most respected yards in Chichester Harbour.”

Mike joined us on the 1st October to take us to the next stage in the pursuit of our aim to be a centre of excellence for caring for classic boats. Whether you are an existing regular customer of the yard or considering new works, Mike will be glad to meet you to discuss your requirements.

We had a very strong response to our advertisement for a replacement and have been fortunate enough to engage the services of Mike Andrews as Flint’s replacement.

Mike, who lives in Bosham, served his boat building apprenticeship with Vosper Thorneycroft and now has over forty five years experience in the marine industry, both in the UK and overseas. During the past twenty five years he has specialised in project management of advanced composite new builds and traditional yacht restorations and refits.
