Rowing boat restoration
Haines Boatyard restored and refurbished 3 rare classic wooden rowing boats during the Autumn of 2023. Solent Galleys "Doreen" and "Joyce" designed and built in the1930s and Bembridge built in the 1960s were extensively restored by Haines in October and November 2023. Scrubbing at Haines Boatyard
Now that most of the 140 boats stored over the winter for owners have been launched, normal sailing season work is underway which includes scrubbing the Itchenor SC keelboat fleets on a two week rotation. In between scrubbing those keelboats, we can do one off scrubs such as this one for Curlew, one of several Statement Marine PTS 26 motor launches berthed in Chichester Harbour. More »

Another new Solent Sunbeam fit out
The 98 year-old Solent Sunbeam Class is delighted to announce the launch of the latest Sunbeam, V71 Tiffany on Wednesday the 16th June. Tiffany is the second new boat to be launched in 2021 and she joins the ever-growing, Solent Sunbeam Class which are based at Itchenor Sailing Club. New Solent Sunbeam fit out by Haines
The Solent Sunbeam Class is excited to announce the latest addition to the fleet with the launch of V72, 'Serendipity' at Itchenor on the 30th March. The latest addition to this 98 year old classic keelboat class is the eleventh GRP Solent Sunbeam to be launched and the ever-growing fleet, sailing from Itchenor Sailing Club, now comprises 23 traditional wooden boats and 10 GRP versions, all racing together on an equal basis.
